Abraham Nippes came to Philadelphia in 1796 on bord of the George of Portland out of Rotterdam, Netherlands.
In 1810 he took over Winner Nippes & Steinman.
He passed away in December 1812. His estate felt in the hands of his widow Anna Maria, his brother
Daniel and his stepson Daniel Henkels.
Abraham Nippes started the Nippes and Company, Philadelphia in 1808. He got governments contracts. His son,
David Nippes build government-pattern long rifles for the war 1812. David was running the Mill Creek site of
Nippes.
He was also known as a swordmaker.
